    On May 10, 2025, Mekelle University’s Center for Peace and Reconciliation (MU/CPR-EUTF Project Office) held a capacity-building training workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of its academic staff in e-learning management systems. This initiative is part of the university’s efforts to facilitate the upcoming launch of an online Master’s program in Peace and Conflict Studies.

    The workshop provided participants with essential tools and strategies to effectively manage online learning environments, ensuring a seamless transition to digital education. By focusing on e-learning, the center is not only responding to the increasing demand for flexible educational formats but also reinforcing its commitment to fostering academic excellence in the field of peace and conflict studies.


  • Event News: Deliverables Validation Workshop Conducted

    On November 2, 2024, Mekelle University’s Center for Peace and Reconciliation (MU/CPR-EUTF Project Office) hosted a one-day In-house Deliverables Validation Workshop at the Adi Haki Campus. The workshop aimed to validate key project outputs, including training manuals for civic society organizations and religious institutions, a new center website, and PhD and MA curricula in peace and conflict studies. With 30 participants in attendance, including faculty members and university officials, the event featured presentations from Principal Investigators, followed by group discussions and feedback sessions to gather insights and recommendations.

    Through systematic feedback collection, participants engaged in meaningful discussions to identify challenges and propose solutions for effective implementation. The expected outcomes included validated deliverables, a comprehensive feedback report, and an actionable plan for incorporating participant insights. This initiative underscored Mekelle University’s commitment to ensuring the quality and relevance of its educational resources, ultimately benefiting the community it serves.
