Projects & Initiatives

The CPR is deeply involved in research, education, and community outreach aimed at conflict resolution and peace-building. Our key projects include:

  • Conflict Mapping in Tigray and Borderland Communities: This research aims to understand and address the root causes of conflicts in these areas.
  • Curriculum Revision for Peace and Conflict Studies: We are working on enhancing educational programs at Mekelle University, elevating peace and conflict studies to meet modern challenges.
  • Training Programs: CPR conducts training sessions on mediation, negotiation, and peace-building, with a focus on the local community’s customary conflict resolution methods (Abogerbs).
  • International Conferences: In 2024, we organized significant events such as “Peace Building in Ethiopia and Beyond” and “Social Sciences and War” to foster academic discourse and international collaboration.
